What its been 3 months?

Honestly, where the heck did the time go? We have been really busy the last few months and I know 1 things is for sure most of our time is going to a very active now 1 year old. So, looking back since the last time I posted lots has changed! Mojo started walking in July (10 1/2 months), he turned 1 on 9/2, popped 4 teeth at once, then the best yet he finally hit the 21 lbs marker and loves his new front facing car seat! We are still not sure who loves it more mom and dad or him! We had some bad car trips with him still in his infant carrier!

Morrison Joe had a wonderful first birthday party! We had a great big party with all of our family and friends! We had a jumpy, tons of toys for the kids, cake and ice cream too! Morrison was in a great mood ALL day and enjoyed everyone and the gifts! THANKS!

Oh, I almost forgot but I am not sure if this is a sign of how the rest of his birthday's will go but we did have the police here twice! Yes, and the second time resulted in a NOISE Ordinance! Not sure what neighbors did not like us but again if you are reading this you got the wrong party! I do not know what the fine is as I have to go to Court! Stay tune for the update in October!

Other then our same old boring lives :) we are all LOVING life! We have a couple fun weekend in October planned and I have a feeling before I blink again we will have snow on the ground!

Well, one thing is for sure time is flying!

Tony and I have been enjoying some time on the Golf Course but it seems that every time Tony gets out it rains! For example, again tonight he had a tournament and they ended up stopping cause it was pouring out! Not really sure I would have enjoyed it either!

We have a couple new additions at our house! Over Memorial weekend we came home to a robin's nest on our front bricks! We had 3 eggs that finally all hatched!! They are kinda ugly right now but I am sure they will be really cute soon! Oh, we are down to 2 birds as 1 fell out today!

Morrison had his 9 month check up yesterday (yes, I am behind by a couple weeks!) He is now weighing in at 18.20 lbs (18% for those of you keeping track) and 28.3 inches (47% almost to 50% for the first time on anything!). Dr. Judy says he is growing just perfectly but to not be surprised if he falls right OFF the charts once he starts to walk. Man, Mojo just does not get a break! Well, the good thing is she thinks is calm outgoing personality is here to stay! Right, we will see when terrible 2 hit! The kid already makes fists and screams when we take something way from him (that he should not have!) No, he is a great boy! Still seems to amaze me every day! Would not change anything!

What else have we been up to??
Oh, the end of May we had a WONDERFUL weekend in Duluth. Tony had given me a weekend getaway for my birthday! Its was absolutely beautiful! Anyone looking for a place to say I highly recommend Fitgers, we stayed in one of the suites. Check the website out for deals! We spent Saturday at Gooseberry Falls hiking!

Then it was Memorial Weekend. We spent the weekend at out friends cabins. The Sullivans are such great people! We are really looking forward to more cabin weekends!

We had a porch put in out front and back yard! I LOVE IT!

We have taken a couple trips to the zoos! Anyone wanting to go let the Kaufhold know we might already be there! Mojo think he should life with the monkey's and eat bananas all day!

We purchased a new bike seat for Morrison! Anyone looking for one I have a contact for you! $80.00 and its well worth it!

What's coming up? I have all next week off! Yes, another week of but no pay. Really its ok as long as the weather is nice! Then we have out first camping (trailer) weekend with Mojo. Keeping out fingers crossed we make it all weekend! And before we know it, it will be July 4th!

Well, April has come and is almost gone! I am hoping the next week slows down as my Golden Birthday will be here on the 29th! Little scary to think I am going to be 29! Feels like yesterday I was saying my golden birthday if so far away!

So, what have we been up to this month??
Enjoying walks outside, trips to the zoo, hanging out in the driveway, yard work (well Tony has been), bike rides, hanging out with family, painting and really looking for things to slow down a bit!

Morrison has 1 tooth on the bottom that is all the way threw and cutting 2 more! He has been a real trooper with 1 bad night and that has been it! He is ready to crawl but likes to take the easy way out and do the worm! I am not so sure out the carpet burns on the knees! He loves to pull himself up on things and has been making it challenging for mom to get anything done. Oh, well I would rather just play around anyways!

We hope everyone is enjoying spring and we will see you out and about!

Over the weekend Mojo and I went to the zoo. Well not really, we went to the Conservatory and saw all the flowers! Man, was it great to be able to smell all the fresh spring flowers! We did bundle up to go see the Primates but Morrison was having a bottle and fell asleep so we just went back to my aunt Michelle's house.

I know its been almost 2 months since I have blogged! I am trying to figure out where the past 2 months went! We are keeping busy and loving every minute of being parents, Morrison is just 2 weeks shy of being 6 months old keeps us entertained by his smiles, giggles and his new trick of rolling all over the place!

We are counting down the days until we get a vacation from this MN winter to the Sunny beaches of Jamaica! 17 days! Morrison will be going on a vacation to his Grandpa and Nanna house while Bailey and Oscar go to Grandma Betsy house! We are so blessed to have our family so close and truly lucky that they will watch over our kids! THANKS!

Today Morrison's Daycare had their Christmas Party at Pump it Up in Burnsville. Pump it Up is an indoor inflatable jumping, sliding and play area. Tony and I raced through the obstacle course and I lost:( but we did take Morrison down the big slide! We can not wait for next year when he is big enough to run around with all the other kids!

First Day at Deb's Daycare

Well we made it through the first day at daycare! Tony and I dropped Morrison off at 6:30am and to my surprise he gave Deb a huge smile! At that point, I knew everything was going to be ok! I left not shedding a tear which I am not sure was good or bad?? Then around 9am I got this email with a cute picture and note from Morrison which made me tear up!

My first day at daycare. Things are going GREAT. This is Hope,one of my newfriends. She wants to help and she doesn't let anyone get to close to me.

All of the kids where excited to have a new baby and wanted to make sure he was coming back! Deb said he was a great little boy! We have spent the evening really enjoying our time with Morrison and looking forward to may more wonderful days!

This morning I stood in line with 2 friends (Lesley and Heidi) at 5:45am to make sure I got my copy of this years City 97 Sampler CD! We went to the Shakopee Target where they had less then 200 copies but we where about 60th in line! It was a bit cold but the time went by really fast! I am really excited to pop it in my CD player and listen all day!

Week 12

Where did the time go? Tomorrow is the start if my last week of maternity leave:( I will be back to work on Tuesday the 25th! Yes, I only have to work 2 days but still its going to be so hard! As I look back on the past 11 weeks wow has my (our) life changed in so many ways! There have been ups and downs but let me tell you being a mom has been the greatest gift in the world! I know Tony would also say being a dad is great too! I am really going to miss spending just about every minute with my little man! I know that he will do great at daycare and it will be good for both of us! I guess it's just one of the many things a new mommy does not want to face! I will be enjoying every minute of my last week home before its back to reality!

2 Month Check Up

Morrison had his 2 month check up today! He was a GREAT boy and just cried for a few minutes! He only had to get 2 shots, 1 in each leg as they came out with a new grouping last month! I do not think I could handle more then that!

He is now weighing in at 9.14lbs and 21 inches! Yes, just a little guy in the 25% for his weight but we are enjoying it! I am not sure what these parents do when they have 9+ lbs babies - its just not right!

Last night Morrison went to bed at 9:30pm and slept till 6:00am!!! As we had some quite time to ourselves the dogs curl up with each other for a bit. I think in the 3 years the dogs have been together I have never seen them cuddle so close! Must be the lack of attention they get from us:(

Wow, time does fly! It feels like yesterday I was still laying in my moms pool saying "I really do not want to go to work tomorrow! I hope I go into labor!".
Now, we are enjoying Morrison Joe and I have proof that he is getting bigger! We are not sure what he weighs, if we have to guess he is a bit over 9lbs.
Before I know it we will be heading off to daycare/work but I am not going to let the next 5 weeks go by any faster then they need to!

Well, we are back from a great weekend hanging with our friends! We headed out just before noon on Thursday and Morrison slept all the way to Garrison!Thank goodness for McDonald's (Morrison and Mommy needed to eat) otherwise it would have been his first trip to the Blue Goose! He was a great little boy all weekend and we are so lucky to have great Friends that did not mind a 5:00am wake up call as MoJo was hungry!

Gone for the weekend

We are heading out for a long weekend with the little guy and friends! We are heading north to Milacs and hoping we will not get rained out! (We will be in a cabin at least!) Keep your fingers crossed that we make it there without having to stop to many times! Morrison is just starting to like the car seat and car rides! I have packed a couple movies for myself to watch as I am sure I will be riding in back!

Oh - and that colic thing....well we have had 2 great days and he slept through the night last night! We are really hoping all that crying is done and he continues to sleep all night!

I think our little guy has a touch of the colic so once I can get him back to sleep I DO NOT DISTURB! For some reason the 1 thing that calms him is lying on his changing station! I'm keeping my fingers crossed this is a phase and this all out screaming for no reason end soon! I just keep telling myself look how cute he is when he is a happy boy!

Morrison took his first trip to the Marschall Farm (brother Justin's girlfriend Tanya's family) last week! He was so excited he slept right through it all! There was a cow born the same day as Morrison so we took some pictures with him. We also met Tucker which is Tanya's nephew.

This past Sunday my Grandma Bette took a bus tour from Hibbing to Stillwater to ride one of the last trips on The MN Zephyr. Will since she has not been able to drive down to meet Morrison we (my mom, aunt Michelle and sister Rachel) thought we would surprise her! She was so happy to spend a little bit of time with us and so excited to meet Morrison!

Then as most of you are aware there is never a dull moment in anything I do! As we got back to the car I figured I better change the little man before we hit the road home! As I started to change Morrison he decided he needed to go pee. So, I picked him up after he was done to wipe the care seat off and as I started to say....."Watch now he is going to poop.....and before I could say on me HE LET IT GO! Yes, he pooped all over me, the running board and the street!
Lesson learned....do not open my mouth, do not lift Morrison up without a diaper on....and pack myself an extra change of clothes to!

Oh, and to add Dad has had 2 blow outs with the little guy! I now know he gets that from his father not mom!

We made it through week 1 with out Dad being home. (He still comes home for lunch or we meet him somewhere!) Morrison is doing great! Last Monday we had a check up and all the doc could say was he is perfect! We left the hospital on the 4th weighing 5 lbs 12 oz and by Monday morning he was at 6lbs 8 oz so he had gained back all he lost plus some!! Yes, he is a good eater! He is also a good sleeper, we go to bed around 10pm and get up at 1am, 4am and 6/7am. Twice now he has slept through the 4am feeding and let mommy and daddy sleep! (Hey, Morelli's when did that colic thing start??) We knock on a lot of wood at our house as Morrison is clockwork and we just hope it all stays this way!

Morrison Joe was born on 09/02/08 at 3:57am. He weighed 6lbs 2oz and was 18 1/2 inches long! Yes, we know he is just a little guy. Labor was not bad and we are all doing great!

I can not believe that tomorrow will already be a week! We have taken so many pictures I am posting a ton so enjoy! We will be sure to post often or as long as Morrison lets me have a few minutes! (I am one handed typing right now as he finally is napping)

Week 39 - Update

We had what I hope is our last weekly check up today. Things are going great but I am still only dilated to a 1. Guess we might have to start trying all that advice people are giving us and see what does the trick! (Feel Free to drop us a note on what worked and didn't work!)

Dining Room Hutch Remodeling

My mom found this hutch at a garage sales months ago and thought with a new paint job it would look great in our dining room! Heck for $30.00 we couldn't go wrong. I knew we could figure out away to make it just right! I wanted a older look so I went with a technique called 'crackling". We painted a few coats of red then a layer of the clear crackling coat and then a top coat of coco brown. Its like magic and turned out just the way I wanted it to!

Our friends Jer and Tammy had a little baby girl on June 24th! Mallory Lynn was a bit early as Tammy was not due until July 27th but mom and baby are doing great! I have been over twice now to see her and it makes me so excited I can't hardly wait! Can we skip over July and start August! Only 9 1/2 weeks to go!

So, just for them I moved it to the bottom of our playlist. Hopefully, it will not continue to happen but if it does let us know!

Ok - I started this on Wed. but forgot to post!

Wow time flew! 10 weeks to go! For those of you who do not know I am feeling great now that the walking pneumonia and bronchitis have cleared! I think Tony wants the sick Jen back as I have so much energy! Sorry - the mood swings do not go away and there are no meds for those!

Anyways - just got back from the doctor and things a perfect! She did not say anything about the weight gain (which again was not good) but I was back on the prednisone. (I will keep using that excuse:) Had a follow up ultra sound and the placenta has moved into the correct place so everyone is happy! Including the baby as he/she again would not stay still!

Baby class is over and we made it! Not sure it was really worth our time as it had its ups and downs! We did learn a few new things like I should not be eating deli meats? Anyone else heard this? The instructor was not the greatest! Tony thought she asked like a no it all! Well, I guess I agree with him! The best part of the whole class was I ran into 2 friends from High School and another couple that is due the same day we are! Well, we will see in 12 weeks how much we really learned!

Monday and Tuesday night where big nights for us as we have started to get the BABY's room put together! Who said putting a crib together was hard? I think this is the first project that we have ever done "together" that we have not started fighting! Really it was super easy and we are really excited to add to the room!

Finally a new tub!

For about the past 6 months I really have not been able to take a bath as we had a water leak somewhere! Our downstairs bathroom ceiling was starting to get water damage and it only grew each time I took a bath! So, I finally confessed to filling the tub over the overflow which did not make my husband happy at all as he thought that was the reason for the leak! So a few baths without filling the tub to high it was still leaking! We ended up deciding that we would replace the tub as I wanted something deeper that I could enjoy some relaxing time! We also found out the drain on the tub was the reason for the leak! Thanks to my loving husband and all his work connections he found someone cheaper then the $8000 quote from Home Depot. I now have a new tub and title job! I can not wait to use it but it will be another week as the seal coat on the title needs to set!

How Embarrassing!

So, we just got home from our 25 week check up and everything is going great! Beside the fact I have gained to much weight! I am up a total of 20 lbs since our first check up and 10 of those are in the past 4 weeks (more like 1 according to my scale) Guessing the plate of brownies I ate since Sunday is not healthy? My doctor said I should only look at trying to gain 5-10 more pounds the last 15 weeks. Well I guess its nothing but egg whites for me! (Traci that worked for you right??) I really do not care to much but I will start to hit the gym and walk a bit more!

Anyway to the Embarrassing Part

As Tony and I are walking in the door to the OB area (As I have walked through a crowd of people already!) Tony goes "what the heck your pants are ripped!" Thinking he is joking I just felt my butt for him! Sure enough my ass cheek was hanging out! I instantly turn red as the is waiting room right in front of me is full of people! I pull down my shirt and sneak to the nearest chair! As we are in with my nurse she just says take your hoody and wrap it around you! Oh what a life saver that was!

Doctor Nelson assures me its not that I have gained to much weight in the past 4 weeks it just faulty pants! I really hope she is right or all the shopping I did over the weekend was for nothing!

All Tony says is "That is my Double Wide" - its my nickname that he came up with. How sweet!

Well, for those of you that do not know I am pregnant. I am 18 weeks along and this are going great! Our due date is September 2nd! I finally broke down this weekend and head out to by some new jeans! Mine where just not going to work and more! Not only was were they cutting into my skin I thought the baby would enjoy a little more room to grow in! I headed to Macy's thinking I would find some nice jeans that where going to me long enough and not cost to much! Well, was I wrong! After about 20 pair of jeans I was ready to start crying! I asked the lady if she had anything that I could get in longs...lets just say she should not have been working in the maternity section that day! She said no and I just about punched her! Oh- wow I think the hormones where coming out! Then some really nice shopper told me to head over to Motherhood as she was sure they would have a pair that I would like! She was taller then I and said she found some really cute ones there! So, I bought a couple shirts and stuff from the clearance rack and head to Motherhood! Well, lets just say its a good thing I only had an hour left before I had to leave to get home! I LOVE the store! I bought 3 pairs of pants and about 10 different tops! I could have kept shopping but I thought I better wait a bit longer until it gets nice out! Who ever said that maternity clothes are not cute well I love them but then again it give me a reason to shop and the husband can not get made at me. I think I am going to stop on the way home and get some dress pants! The ones I have a fine but I like shopping!

Hurry up weather and warm up so I can get some new cute clothes to wear!

The one thing I will dread is a new swimsuit for the summer but I am hoping Motherhood will come through again!

Well, around 2:30ish my brother Chris and Jen had their little baby boy! Brockton Alexander Graber is the little guys name! Brockton suprised everyone (including Mom and Dad) weighing in at healthy 9 lbs. 7 oz and 22" long! He is a big boy and super cute! Everyone is doing great!

I am so excited that 'Paradise Hotel 2' is back as there are only 2 more episodes or "Prison Break' left! I was not sure what I was going to do with myself on Monday night! Anyways, I went to read about the cast this morning and I came across this article that one of the cast members died after the taping of the show! Very sad!

Police: 'Paradise Hotel 2' contestant Nathan Clutter's death a suicide

By Steve Rogers, 01/17/2008Although the show's broadcast networks have stated he was killed in a climbing accident, Nathan Clutter, one of 11 singles appearing in MyNetworkTV and Fox Reality Channel's upcoming Paradise Hotel revival, actually died in an apparent suicide, according to police documents obtained by Reality TV World.

"Upon completion of the investigation of this incident, all evidence, scene conditions and conversations with [Clutter's] uncle... concludes that this incident of Sudden Death was from the result of [Clutter] taking his own life," Randall County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Byron Towndrow wrote in an October 18 report that ended the Texas county organization's investigation into Clutter's October 12 death. "This case can be closed. There were no findings of foul play [and] all evidence and findings show that [Clutter's death] was a product of his own demise." According to the Randall County Sheriff's Office incident report, Clutter -- a 26-year-old Danville, IL native who had been living in Phoenix, AZ and working as a sales manager before Paradise Hotel 2 began filming late last summer -- was killed after jumping off an Alltel cellular telephone tower in Amarillo, TX early in the morning on October 12.

Video surveillance footage from the site showed Clutter's silver 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora enter the property at approximately 5:10AM. Shortly after that, he is believed to have draped a sweater over a barbed-wire fence that surrounded the tower, scaled the fence, and then climbed the cellular tower and jumped to his death. Clutter's body was found 79 feet from the base of the tower inside the fence the sweater was found draped over, which Towndrow termed "a considerable distance even if [Clutter] fell from the top of the tower of over 100 feet and in a sustained wind of 35 MPH." However according to FCC cellular tower records, the three towers at the Amarillo site range between 78 and 133 meters in height, meaning Clutter could have jumped from far higher than 100 feet. The body caused "an impact indentation of 6 inches" in the surrounding soil, according to Towndrow, who cited the indentation as further evidence that Clutter fell from "a considerable height." Although he is believed to have died early in the morning, Alltel employees only discovered Clutter's body shortly before 5PM. His vehicle was still parked nearby. Given the cause of death seemed obvious and there were no signs of auto burglary, theft, or assault, an autopsy was not ordered. Rigor mortis was also consistent with a death that occurred between 5:15 and 5:40AM.

"The family believed [Clutter] to be suffering from bi-polar/manic depressant behavior, however he [had] never been diagnosed as such," Sgt. Tom Shipman wrote after speaking Clutter's grandfather via telephone late on October 12. Clutter's uncle reiterated his grandfather's comments when he arrived in Amarillo the following day. "[He] explained that his nephew had been dealing with bouts of depression and that his family had wired $400.00 cash money to him in Arizona and talked him into coming back home to Illinois, so that they could get him checked into the V.A. hospital, and hopefully get some help with his depression," wrote Towndrow. According to the incident report, Clutter's wallet, his vehicle's keys, his dog, $236 in cash, and numerous other personal belongings -- including tennis shoes, a mountain bike, a MP3 player, a satellite radio receiver, books, CD's, and dog treats -- were found inside Clutter's Arizona-registered vehicle. The trunk also contained more personal belongings, including a clothing-filled suitcase, bags of dog food, and a boombox-style stereo. The dog, which appeared to have been eating and drinking from a dog bowl set on the floorboard behind the driver's seat, was still in the vehicle when Clutter's body was discovered. Paradise Hotel 2 is scheduled to premiere on Monday, February 4 at 9PM ET/PT on MyNetworkTV before a "steamier" TV-MA version of the same episode airs at 1AM ET the same night on Fox Reality Channel. "As Paradise Hotel 2 comes to air, we are saddened by the loss of Nathan Clutter, who passed away on October 12 of last year," the networks stated in a January 7 statement about Clutter's death. "The cast and crew, as well as Mentorn Productions and the entire Fox Reality Channel and MyNetworkTV families, join Nathan's loved ones in mourning his loss and we hope that they are able to find some comfort in knowing that he touched everyone he encountered with his thoughtfulness and decency." When contacted by Reality TV World last week, a Fox Cable Networks spokesperson had confirmed an earlier Broadcasting & Cable report that had stated Clutter "was killed in a climbing accident" that occurred several weeks after the show's production ended but declined to reveal additional details. Despite Clutter's passing, "his family and producers decided to keep his scenes in the full run of the [show's] episodes," according to the Broadcasting & Cable report. Paradise Hotel 2 completed production during the third week of September.

Well, as the temperature finally reached 40 today, Tony and I spent most of our day looking for somewhere to go on VACATION! We need some hot sun and one last get away before our life changes to Disney World Vacations! We need some ideas! We really want to go back to Mexico (Playa Del Carmen) but we do not want to do the All Inclusive Plan. (We are trying to be adventurous and stay on a budget!)

We want to stay downtown Playa, and I really want to hotel to have a pool! We are looking to go March 8-15th! Does anyone have any recommendations???

Oh - does anyone know if you can book 1 room and have 1 person do All Inclusive and the other person not? Since I can not drink I really do not see paying $40.00-$50.00 extra a day for food!

Or, does anyone know anywhere warm in the States that we can go?? I just want the sun and Tony wants a cold beer! Oh and good FOOD!

Well, by now you should know The Kaufholds are always up to something different!

Last Friday night we where invited to a Pornoment Party. When we got the evite I was thinking what the heck is this all about! Then as I read the evite it stated you must make a dirty ornament or a center pieces that you would not want to display during Christmas. HMMMM, I thought to myself this could be interesting! Some of Tony's friends are very dirty minded. It took my sometime to figure out what I wanted to make and once the "juices" started to flow! I had my idea!

I made a Penis in a box. And yes, it sang Pop goes the Weezel.

Oh Christmas Tree - Oh Christmas Tree!

This year we once again had a wonderful opportunity to get a really tree from Edina Realty! I keep telling Tony we are never getting a fake tree so, thanks Traci for keeping us on that list! Well, this year I was not able to go pick up the tree as I needed to make up some hours at work (since I missed a day from Oscar making a mess!). Tony said he would handle it and when I would get home the tree would be all ready to decorate! I thought that was a good deal! He is a big boy "how hard is it to go pick out a tree and bring it home?" Well, when it involves Tony things never seem to go smoothly!

Tony went and picked out the tree around 9am. He called me on his way home to see what time I would be done working. I told him I would be leaving around 12:00 just before the roads would start getting bad. (it was the weekend of our first snow storm! ) Well, around 11:00am my phone rings at work and once again its Tony. As I answered he said "Now, Honey do not be mad!" and I responded with 'Now WHAT did you do!" Then he started to tell me.....Well, you see I stopped and had breakfast at Wampach's on my way home, as I was getting ready to leave there was Knacker (a friend of ours) with a Skill Saw to our tree! I said with what!!!! Well, I guess about 10 years ago the owner of the Pullman Bar in Shakopee played a not so nice joke on Knacker and cut his tree into a bunch of pcs. Knacker was not suppose to be at the bar so he got in lots of trouble! His wife grounded him from the Pullman for 6 months! For some reason he thought it would be funny to play the joke on someone else! He was in the middle of cutting our tree in 1/2 as he got caught!
Tony said it was not that bad. All I was thinking was WHAT THE F***! I told Tony just to put up the tree and I would make due with it! I was not about to go spend $100.00 on a tree! When I got home from work I looked at the tree and thought well, its not that bad. I started to look at the back of it and there was NO branches left!
That is when I lost it! "Why are you and all your guy friends so STUPID! When are you all going to stop acting like your 2! This is not funny at all! I can not even hang lights on it! Oh, I can not let you do anything by yourself!...." As, I was just in the middle of my ranting the doorbell rang. I thought to myself now what could the kids possibly be selling now! As I opened the door there was Knacker with a gorgeous new tree! He said that he was sorry and asked that I not ground Tony from the Pullman. (Like that would ever work!_ Oh, man did I feel stupid! I hope that he did not hear me yelling at Tony!

Magic Eraser

Have you ever heard of a Magic Eraser ? If you haven't you need to try it! I have used this handy eraser on my walls before but never would I have thought to use it on my flat top stove! Last week Casey told me that she use it on her stove to take out all the marks made while cooking! I thought WOW that would be great if I could make our stove shine again! Tony seems to forget to watch things while he is cooking (since I do not do the cooking in our house!) and he always boils something over the pan and all over the place! So, tonight I dug out the trusty Magic Eraser and started to scrub away! Guess what?? My stove is like new again, minus out the scratch marks from our pans!

Then I started to look around at what else in the kitchen could I use this on?? I finally found my next attempt! The fan cover above the stove! For some reason our stove cover is covered in grease! I went to town going through 2 Magic Erasers and ta da like new too!

Got to Love my Dogs!

So, on Sunday night after needing some really good sleep in my own bed we where awaken around 2:00am from the sound of Oscar throwing up. He normally doesn't do this so I cleaned it up and we went back to bed. Then about an hour later Tony woke me up asking "did you just fart?" and I said "no, I am trying to sleep!" A few minutes later he said "no, I think Oscar must have shit in the room cause I can smell dog poop!!!" We got out a bed and pull out the bed and to our surprise......YES, there was SHIT everywhere. Sorry, for using that knotty word but it make me mad! You teach the dog to bark and go potty outside but when they are really suppose to do it they seem to forget!!! So, we spent the night cleaning up dog shit under are bed and let me tell you a dog is no different then a human when its coming out both end but just add in white carpet! I knew it was going to be a long night when he decided to throw up a couple more time in the wee hours of the morning! When he finally threw up the last time we found out what his problem was! We had given him and Bailey a medium size rawhide earlier in the day. Well, Oscar has a thing about eating everything WHOLE! So, he must have swallowed his bone in one bite and then stole Bailey and swallowed that whole too! He threw up both of the bones and they where still on one piece!!

As, we woke up Monday morning around 5:30am I thought to myself there is no way I can go to woke on no sleep and what if he keeps doing this all day? We have no where to kennel him up at and his kennel is at my moms house! So, I did the only thing I thought was right! I called in sick to work...well, I said I was not sick but my dog was! What a great way to call in sick for the first time!!

Thanks for the extra hours of catch up sleep but no more BIG boy bones for Oscar!!!

Happy Thanksgiving from Nashville

Well, this year I did not celebrate Thanksgiving the traditional way with family and the big turkey dinner! I went to Nashville, Tennessee to surprise my best friend Casey for her birthday! About 2 months ago Casey decided she wanted to go to Nashville and asked if I wanted to join her mom (Jean) and our other really good friend (Beth). Well, since I had just started my new job at Eaton this past April I did not think that I would be able to get any time off! Then I found out that we were closes Thursday and Friday! I checked with Tony and my family to make sure no one would mind if I missed Thanksgiving! I booked my ticket the next day with the help from Beth and Jean! I turned the trip into a surprise for Casey! I flew out last Wednesday (a few hours after they did!) Oh, and traveling was not BAD at all! I was checked in and was threw the security point in MSP in about 20 minutes, just a minor 15 minute delay as we need to de-ice the plane. Then in about 2 hours I was in Nashville with my luggage an on my way to the Best Western Downtown Convention Center! A few text messages back and forth with Beth, I would be surprising Casey in about 10 minutes! I got to the hotel, took the elevator up to room 306 and knocked on the door! The room suddenly got really quite and the door opened! Casey was sitting on the bed as I yelled SURPRISE! She looked at me with the really confused look and said what the heck are you doing here? I told her I would never miss a long weekend PARTYING in Nashville for her birthday! Then with some hugs and story telling (as I just about blew my own cover a couple times in past weeks) we all got ready for what would be night 1 of the night life in Nashville!

What did we do.......

Night 1:
We went bar hoping on Broadway Street. The first bar we stopped at was Tootsie Bar. It was small and crowed on the first floor so we made our way up to the second level where it was very quite. We had 2 beers and left.
Since, I forgot to eat we stopped at a place called Bailey's for dinner. I had a Black Forest Sandwich and a couple Captain Cokes. My sandwich was a pretzel bun with apple bacon and turkey. It was really good! Oh, and we saw a Justin Bobby from the Hills look a like.
Already the week is starting to become a blur as I am sitting here typing. So instead of trying to remember where we went after dinner I will just say we went Bar Hopping. We made it to quite a few different bars that night! We end up at The Stage where we stayed until 2:30am! We met 2 guys from Missouri that were also in Nashville with family for Thanksgiving! 1 of them got Casey's number! What a good Birthday she was having!

Day 2: Happy Thanksgiving!
Since we did not get going until mid-morning (OK we left our hotel room around 2:00pm) Casey wanted to have a nice dinner so we headed off to the Radisson Hotel Opryland. It’s a HUGE hotel...someone said something like its one of the biggest hotels in the world that does not have a casino. We walked around looking at there Christmas lighting displays and tress made out of real poinsettias! It takes almost 4 months for the hotel to get ready for Christmas. It was a very pretty hotel but I would not recommend staying at the hotel if you plan on going downtown at night. It’s a $25.00 cab ride one-way. We had a very nice dinner (minus are really weird waiter) at the Old Hickory Steakhouse inside the hotel. Casey had scallops, Beth had chicken (organic), Jean had a Filet Mignon and I had Pork Tenderloin with squash. we had a nice glass of Relax Riesling wine with our dinner too. After dinner we walked off our full bellies and called for a cab to head back downtown for another round of beers.
Once again, I am not sure where was started the night off but we ended up running into the 2 guys we met the night before. This time there Mom and Dad came out. Ron (dad) had never staid out past midnight in a very long time! We all had a celebration drink and shot at midnight! Then Ron and Debbie left shortly after that! We ended up at our new home away from home. The Stage! The waitresses there where really nice! One of them even bought us a shot! We danced to the live band and drank again until 2:30AM!

Day 3 - Friday
We did get up around 8:30am - 9:00am to go have some breakfast in our hotel but after that we went back to our room for a nap! For some reason we all had a bit of the shakes going on! Not sure if we could do another 2 nights of this drinking and parting so we took it easy with a few more hours of rest!
When we finally all got up and ready to go do something other then see Nashville at night. We walked down to the visitor center where we ran into a bunch of teeny boppers. Hannah Montana was in town! We quickly got out of that area and went to the Country Music Hall of Fame. After walking around looking at all the old and new country music archives we headed down the road to find something to eat. We ate at a place called The Big River??????? I can not remember the whole name. The food was ok but we really very cold as we took a booth by the door! Every few minutes the doors would open with a draft of cold wind and with moms and daughters getting a bit to eat before they headed to the concert. After that was walked back to the hotel room for another nap before are 3rd night on the town.

No wonder why everyone knows when we is in town. This is her tour bus.

The bars where a bit different Friday night as there where lots a people out! We started out at a Karaoke bar called Buck Wild. WOW can people sing in Nashville! Then we went to a couple different bars, a Bluegrass bar and Tootsie. The dance floor at Tootsie's was about the size of a twin bed but we managed to still cut rug! People in Nashville acted like they have never seen 4 tall blonde's before so it was not hard for us to stick out! We ended the night once again at THE STAGE until 2:30am!

Day 4 - Saturday
Again, we woke up moving a little slower then the days before! We really needed to find something to do other then drinking! We looked through the booklets we got from the visitors center but nothing really popped out at us unless we wanted to go visit some Plantations. So, I opened the book to a random page and picked something. It was a restaurant called Santa Fe Cattle Company. We needed to eat so since this was down by the Opryland Hotel we thought there is got to be more to do then just the hotel. We got ready and took the cab to the Santa Fe Cattle Company for some Southern cooking. We had a really good meal. The buns where so hot they burnt our fingers! I had BBQ ribs and sweet potato. Our waiter seemed very nice so we asked him what there was to do in the area???? Not sure if we looked like we really need to start drinking again or if he did not understand our questions. He told us all about the bars that where downtown and that there was nothing to do in that area unless we wanted to go to the hotel and look around. Since, we had already figured out the bars and went to the hotel his only other idea was to go to the mall. Sounded like a good idea, we called the cab then headed to the mall to walked around. Nothing really excited happened at the mall since no one was up for shopping. We called the cab, went back to the hotel.
Casey had bought tickets to go to the Grand Olde Opry Saturday night. Since, I was a surprise I did not have a ticket but that was ok with me. I really needed a nap! So, the 3 of them got ready and left. They were going to call when the show was over and I would meet up with them. (maybe met up is what was really going threw my head.) After a bit of sitting around I got up and started to get my things all ready since we had to go home tomorrow:( Once, that was all done I got in the shower and got ready. I couldn't leave them hanging on our last night in Nashville! As, I was getting ready I heard this lowed slam. Oh, we must have new neighbors (we had Hannah Montana fans the night before.) then as a started to listen to our new neighbors. They where in a little domestic fight. Sara and Chris where there names. Sara had given up her family and friends to be with Chris and they where going to move to Alabama! I guess from what I heard Sara was not such a good girl. She got caught calling her ex-boyfriend and that was just not ok with him. At that point I just sat on the bed and listen to the 2 of them go back and forth. I was not sure if I should call the front desk and have some one come up or just wait it out! Then about 15 minutes later I got a text message saying the show was over! Minutes later I walked out the door very quietly and was on my way to meet everyone. Since, it was almost 12:00am we decided to go with our trusting bar THE STAGE! Tonight, the bar was really packed. A lot of drunk collage age kids. We made the best of the night taking it slower then we had the past 3 nights. Then, as we listening to the band we had a surprise singer sing for us! John Rich from Big and Rich stopped in and played 3 songs! It was super cool and a great way to end our long weekend hanging out in Nashville!
We ended the night again at bar closing 2:30am.

Day 5 - Sunday
Are flights where all departing a little after 11am. Casey, Beth and Jean where on American Airlines and I was on Northwest. So, we headed to the airport around 9:00am, checked our luggage, when through security and had some Burger King for breakfast. It was about 10:20am and I thought I better start heading to my gate as I was in Concourse C and needed to be in Concourse B. We started to walk and stopped at a gift store for a pop and gum, it dawned on me I better check my flight and make sure its still on time. As, I found my flight and it said ON TIME I was so happy. You know that feeling when you are at the airport and you want nothing more then to push a button and be home. (I would get to see the end of the Vikings game!) Then as we looked through the listings we saw the flight the girls where on from Nashville to Chicago (they had a connection) was delayed for about an hour. I told them to go down to the gate and check with the agent and make sure that the connection flight back to MSP was rebooked (as they were not going to make there connection flight). They were rebooked on a 3pm and 5pm something flight out of Chicago. There was a chance that they would make the 3ish flight but as I later found out they got to the gate in Chicago and the plane was pulling away so they would be taking the 5ish flight. Not a way to end a great trip but they were glad when they landed in MSP shortly after 6:00pm.

So to sum up the past 4 days in Nashville! A lot of Drinking on Broadway Street! What a great way to spend Thanksgiving!

Oh - I bet you are wondering what Tony did for Thanksgiving. From what he told me:) He hung out with his Mom and Rich in Richfield for dinner then headed our to our friend Marcus and Rebekah's parents in Chaska. Sounds like he had a really good week! Lots of hanging out with the boys at his second home the Pullman and food!

Before we know it Christmas will be here and I will want to take another trip somewhere warm!

I got my HAIR cut!

On Tuesday this past week I decided to cut my hair! So, here is the new me! I absolutely love it! It takes about 10 minutes to do. So, that has made Tony happy when we have to get ready to go somewhere! The first night I did tell Tony, if you roll over in bed don't get scared if my back is to you and you think its a boy just remember it ME!

Halloween 2007

Last Saturday Casey, Beth, Bucky (Beth boyfriend) and I dressed up as the "3 little pigs and the BIG bad Wolf". Well, needless to say everyone thought that we dressed up as "The Girls next Door". Hello, do we look like Playboy Bunny's!
